Questions?

MASA depends upon the behind-the-scenes efforts of many volunteers to make the organization function each season.  In fact, much of the work is done during the off-season to prepare for the summer.  If you have specific questions, please contact these specific people:

For questions regarding YOUR VOLUNTEER HOURS, please contact Volunteer Coordinator Jamie Herman at jherman25@msn.com.

DIBS/VOLUNTEER GUIDELINES

The support of each MASA family in performing the service hour requirement plays a big part in our program’s success! The minimum number of service hours is 2 hours and the hours required are per family, not per player.  All MASA families are required to fulfill their dib hours by the end of the season Thursday, August 15, 2024.

If you have not already set up a DIBS (Sports ENGINE) account, please do so soon. This can be done directly from www.mosineesoccer.com The sign in is on the upper right of all the pages.

**New this year you will only be able to cancel DIBS with a 5 day notice prior to the date**

To claim a Dib:

  1. Click on Dibs tab at top right in the menu or here
  2. Under Available Sessions click on 1 of the 3 categories: Field Workers, Miscellaneous or Concession Stand Worker (Concession stand workers must be at least 14 years old to work).
  3. Within that category click on one of the items you would like to do **Please note some dib options are more than just 1 time (ex. pizza, garbage, goals, benches)**
  4. Then click on Claim this Dib Item
  5. Fill out the required info
  6. Then click Claim Dib Item

MASA will send out an e-mail to all MASA families letting you know that DIBS have been posted, at which time you can log in and claim time(s). Not working the required hours or a no show will result in a $150 unfulfilled dibs fee and your child/children will not be able to participate in next year’s season until the fee is paid.

Buy Out Option:  If you are NOT interested in participating in your service hours and would like to buyout the cost is $150 at registration.

When are the games this year?

Games begin the week of July 8 and go through August 8.  All games are played at Edgewood Park.

Are games ever cancelled?

The MASA officers will be in charge of calling off games if it is determined safety of players is in question.  Generally, games continue if it is raining.  Games will be cancelled due to lightning, extreme heat and humidity, and other possibly unsafe conditions.  Our general guidelines are as follows.  First, if the heat index at game time is above 95 degrees, the game is cancelled.  Second, if lightning is spotted 15 minutes before the games or during the game, the games are cancelled. Game cancellations will be announced via this website and the MASA Facebook page.  Also, the same guidelines will be followed for scheduled practices.

What days does each division play?

During the past several years, this has been our pattern for games.  It is likely that we will keep the same pattern for the upcoming season:

  • Amateurs & Pros have played on Mondays & Wednesdays.
  • Little Kickers & Semi-Pros have played on Tuesdays & Thursdays.
  • The Elite Division will play various days Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and/or Thursday.
How do I suggest changes to the organization?

MASA holds regular Board meetings that are announced on this website.  You are more than welcome to bring items forward to the Board.
